Congratulations to Harshita J. who was one of two National Award winners in the Your Voice is Power competition for middle and high school students. The competition is meant to teach the fundamentals of computer science, entrepreneurship and social justice. Students spent the day learning how to use EarSketch a music remixing platform and were tasked with remixing songs from Indigenous artists. Harshita's song was determined to be one of the best in Canada and was recognized with a $5000 scholarship, an invitation to Ottawa for a recognition event and opportunity to visit parliament.
