farewell | 2023-2024 school year

Dear United,

I wanted to reach out and wish you and your families a restful, rejuvenating and safe summer break. There has been much to celebrate over the past year and I am most proud of our students and how they continue to share how to make the school safer, more inclusive and respectful to all staff and students. Our diploma results continue to show that our students are thriving academically and we continue to offer a variety of high caliber extracurricular opportunities.

I also want to congratulate our Grade 12's and wish them well as they pursue employment and post-secondary opportunities. The class of 2024 helped us reclaim the things that were lost through the pandemic and have laid the foundation for the school to continue to grow as a community.

Lastly I want to thank our teachers who continue to serve the school community with compassion and care. The end of any school year unfortunately though brings change and this year is no different. While it is sad to see the following teachers leave Nelson Mandela, we wish them well in the future and know they will continue to do great work in their next school. Please join me is saying farewell to:
