School Updates Alberta Assurance Survey Families of Grade 10 students should have received an email from the CBE concerning the Alberta Education Assurance Survey. This survey is administered to students, teachers and families of studentsin grades 4, 7 and 10. The survey only takes about 20 minutes to complete and helps establish areas for continued improvement for the school. Grade 10 students completed the same survey last week.Over the past few years we have typically only received responses from about 40-60 of our 600+ grade 10 families. Let’s see if we can increase that number this year!
School Engagement Survey Each year the CBE and Nelson Mandela High School engage families to gather their thoughts around the fees we collect and the goals we identify for our School Development Plan. You can have your say by visiting the survey HERE
Graduation 2025 It is important for grade 12 students to be attending Connect and following the Grad 2025 D2L Shell to receive the most up to date information. Many students have not been measured for their Grad gowns and risk not being able to attend the ceremony on May 29th.
It is also important to note that we invite all our grade 12’s to attend the graduation ceremony to celebrate their time at the Calgary Board of Education. The awarding of a High School Diploma is determined by fulfilling the requirements established by Alberta Education. Participating in the ceremony does not mean the student has graduated high school.
Thank You A huge thank you to the students of Nelson Mandela High School this past week. While we are feeling the effects of the CUPE strike, students have done a great job taking care of the space and ensuring that they are cleaning up after themselves. |
